I?m very excited to finally introduce you to our newest blog contributors. These ladies {and gentleman} will bring a fresh perspective on entertaining with their unique backgrounds and expertise. I had a lot of ?applicants? email me about contributing, and I am still considering a few so stay tuned.

Aleah & Nick Valley are the married couple who make up the event planning team known as Valley & Co. Not only do they have a wedding blog, but a separate lifestyle blog as well. We?ve been friends on Twitter for over a year and I was thrilled to see that they were interested in CAH.

Melissa is known as Lulu the Baker in the blogging world and offers mouth-watering recipes & photos, easy crafting projects, and the occasional party. Read on to find out more about these talented new team members.

Aleah + Nick Valley ? Wedding, Party and Home Entertaining Specialists

Aleah and Nick are dedicated to making life grand. As the husband and wife wedding and party planning duo? since 2003, throwing incredible celebrations are their way of life. In addition, they pen an entertaining column for San Diego Magazine and bring fresh entertaining tips to life through their blogs. The Valleys have been featured in countless print and online publications like BRIDES Magazine, Seattle Metropolitan Bride and Groom Magazine, RUE Magazine, Style Me Pretty, and many many more.

Aleah loves the beach, a good glass of champagne, delicious cheeses, family, our dog Lulu, and inspiring others. Aleah is inspired by the sea, the lights of Paris, architecture, nature, and the joys of life. Aleah?s favorite moment at our events: seeing the culmination of a dream come to life. There?s a perfect moment when everyone is dancing, visiting, and enjoying the celebration. It?s remarkably rewarding.

Nick loves the beach, a tasty caipirinha, warm summer nights, and traveling. Nick is inspired by the sound of waves crashing and palm trees rustling. Nick?s favorite moment at our events: when our clients, along with their families and friends, are all in the moment and nowhere else.

Melissa Bahen ? Baker, Cook, Crafter, & Party Lover

Melissa has been baking and making for as long as she can remember. When she was little, she wanted to open a catering business with her cousin and call it ?Cousins Catering? (really creative name, right?). Instead, she graduated from college with a degree in Biology and a teaching license, and taught high school science for 5 years before choosing to stay home with her 3 adorable kids. Although she and her cousin never started that catering company, she still spends hours each day in the kitchen baking up tasty treats for friends and family.

When she?s not cooking, Melissa likes to throw baby showers and birthday parties, sew summer clothes for her kids, and collect eggs from the illegal chickens in her backyard. She and her family dream of moving out to the country someday and having a little hobby farm. In the meantime, they stay busy with the 2 beehives, 5 pigs, and 60+ chickens Melissa?s in-laws have been somehow talked into keeping on their property outside of town. Melissa writes about her adventures in food, family, and farming at Lulu the Baker.
